WoodPitt Candles… kinda catchy isn’t it?! All companies have a dream! Our dream is to give the gift of luminosity and aroma!

We are Kevin and Liz Pitts the creators of WoodPitt Candles. As a Christian husband and wife team, who love making and creating joy in everyone’s life. Kevin as a former partner in a soap and beard accessory company, The Beard Shack, has experience with carrier oils, butters, and other chemicals. Liz, with her creativity and spunky personality, brings charm and charisma to the party! Together who knows what we can do!?!?  

We have always had a strong passion for burning candles. We would go to the local stores to pick out a few here and a few there. We could find a few that liked the scent, but the candle would burn up too quickly or start to tunnel. Sometimes we would find one that had a great scent before we started to burn it, but it would not fill the room when we did. Maybe it was Kevin’s socks…who knows?!

One day after commenting on a candle, the thought entered Kevin’s mind, “Hey, let’s make candles!” This began the rabbit hole of naming the company. After a few minutes of crazy laughter, we finally came up with WoodPitt (with two t’s, not one, and no s)! WoodPitt Candles… kinda catchy isn’t it?!

Kevin and I both decided that we love the wood wicks. In our small town, we could only get the wood-wick candles around the holiday season. And that’s just not fair! We wanted to have them available all year round. After finding all the ingredients, Kevin went to work just like he does.  We wanted to go as natural as possible. Together we came up with a coconut, soy, and beeswax blend that is out of this world! No paraffin! Just an all-natural biodegradable wax that can burn longer, relieves stress, boost energy, and is soot-free!
